I was given a few materials from the northern province and this particular bush was not as attractive as the others. I kept it in the container it came in and ignored it for a while. Having no materials to work on last weekend, with a friend, I thought to work on this Pemphis which was a challenge since it looked like a flat bush. As we uprooted the tree we found a lot of fine roots and began to study the possible orientation and design with the thought of using the driftwood on it. I will post a photos of the fully wired tree later... The vision is an upright tree with protruding driftwood through its canopy... we will grow this wild to develop the canopy to thicken and decide later how to make the driftwood more attractive as we progress...

Nice progression! I like the small tree.
I'm also seeing higher exposed roots, is that natural with this species or are you going to train it root over rock style?
Would be nice.
Only one thing i dislike and that are the huge Jins my opinion is if u loose them and make it a small root over rock tree it would be really nice especially with the small leaves.
But nevertheless nice one!
