Bottle Brush I got from a nursery to practice potting on. Suprised to find this root under surface. It has not died yet  looks like it might actually bloom.

They are used for bonsai, but I'd say it is too soon to call it a potensai. That doesn't mean it doesn't have the potential - actually, that's the only thing it does have at the moment, if you know what I mean. As usual, it's going to take long to grow it into something that has bonsai potential.

I assume you did not practice the potting yet?

Yes I did practice...this was in a green nursery pot to start off with. I trimmed it and dug the roots out a bit....unnatural for a gardener like myself to dig at the root ball like that when repotting. Goes against what I ever learned about repot ting plants so I was probably a little more timid than I could have been.... :)

If you were trying to create a mallsai, you succeeded.
Why the stones? Why such a small pot for a plant that needs lots of growth?

The stones are to keep the soil from washing away....this was just practice Auk...I will repot in a bigger pot and let it grow out.
