They are used for bonsai, but I'd say it is too soon to call it a potensai. That doesn't mean it doesn't have the potential - actually, that's the only thing it does have at the moment, if you know what I mean. As usual, it's going to take long to grow it into something that has bonsai potential.
I assume you did not practice the potting yet?

Why the stones? Why such a small pot for a plant that needs lots of growth?
