Hi All,
I’ve been trying to find more info on Pyrus Communis 名媛直播, I have one over 45 years old, it gets pruned as any other flowering trees, I haven’t seen any leaf reduction over the 3 years that has been with me, has anyone tried with this species? I’ve seen a few online but no further info provided for leaf reduction, any input appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

As far as I know, they do reduce, but not by much.
In this situation, I would focus on health of the plant though. It looks like is has not grown much, has very few leaves.
Why do you think it is 45 years old?

Hi, thanks for the reply
I think it doesn’t have that much leaves because it was transplanted this season, I was letting him settle in the new pot and didn’t defoliate this year, as you said, leaves last year reduced, but very little, hence the question, and for the age, the previous owner told me that, I have no reason to suspect otherwise, he’s a well known master in my country, I’d keep working on ramification and leaf reduction, again, thanks for the input!
