Good evening
I had a Chinese Elm bought for me earlier in the year which has grown really well, now winter has set in and the leaves have fallen, I've noticed wire scars on the trunk and how badly it has been cut back in places.
Unfortunately, I haven't any photo's of the tree but was wondering if I should plant into the ground/large training pot to allow free growth to remove the wire scars?
thanks in advance

You will not get rid of wire marks on a deciduous tree unfortunately. As it is a deciduous tree you should expect it to lose leaves

I have a Chinese Elm as well which now looks like this. I cut the branches and trunk and everything is still green inside. Is it dead?
