Wondering what you find to be the best time of year for defoliation of Tiger Bark Ficus. I am in the midwest and my tropical trees are indoors and flourishing. I've done some upkeep running when needed but now want to defoliate to get the feel for the structure. This is my first Tiger bark!
Thanks,

"the midwest"?
I would defoliate in summer of late summer by preference. Although I have done it in winter too. In any case, only defoliate when absolutely gealthy and when conditions for regrowth are good.

I only defoliate Ficuses in late summer, if healthy. And not to glimpse into the ramification, but to stimulate inside growth and smaller leaves.
