Early days for this cheap find, I personally don't know what potential this has living outside in the yard. A little all over the place at the moment. Maybe one day....

Well, this little chinese elm seems to be a rooted grafting.
The trunk is not going to be easy to bend even with raffia, so I would think kabudashi style. But even kabudashi would be weird with this trunk in "steps".
Maybe in five years it can turn into something interesting as bonsai.
