What's the future of my half alive ficus retusa?! was created by DANCING BONSAI

It has been like this for quite a while now. The one branch is blooming with life, but unfortunately the rest of the bonsai is dead.

What on earth can I do to keep it looking like a bonsai tree?!

I appreciate any input.

remove the dead part. Ensure you get the rest very healthy and strong. After that you could consider shaping it a bit more.

Are you advising I cut the main thick branch?

How do I know where to cut it and when to stop?

And then shall I wait for the branch that is alive to thicken up before making any alterations?

Cut is right above the living branch. Then..
