Rajsta - The tree in the inspiration picture from your original post is a Ficus retusa or Tiger Bark Ficus. If that is the look you desire, acquiring that species will make things more easy on you. Tiger Barks are pretty common and often found in big box stores (these will be inexpensive and poorly styled - you get what you pay for but if you like it who cares what strangers on the internet think). Ficus, being tropicals, will need to come indoors for the winter if your temperatures drop below 10C/50F. They will survive inside for some time, but they will not thrive. My tropical trees came inside in October and most of them look absolutely dreadful right now and I cannot wait to get them outside for the summer.
