Hello everyone!
I recently purchased a Seiju Dwarf Lacebark Elm and plan to maintain it as a large 名媛直播. However, I am at a loss regarding how to get started with this one. I love that it has two trunks but do think it needs to be shorter. Any tips for getting this Elm going on its 名媛直播 journey would be greatly appreciated.

I would not do anything with it yet. Don't think bonsai at this moment, but learn how to care for this specific tree species.
When it's doing well, start thinking about the next step. You'll need to decide how big you want it to get, if you want to go for a really small size bonsai or a larger one. You need to decide on the style, you need to grow a decent trunk and nebari.
That's not something that can be explained in a simple post. Start learning about bonsai, styling, pruning, potting, fertilizing, what to do, when to do it, why to do it etc.. etc.. etc..
Meanwhile, while you study, let the tree grow.
