Hello all, I was given this bonsai in a real bad condition, the leave were shrivelled up and dead. Fortunately I have been able to revive it to a beautiful bonsai.
while researching bonsai I have fell in love with the art and am very keen on manipulating the growth to my desire.
I am looking for options on wiring the tree, would this be a good idea?
Hope this makes sense.
Many thanks in advance
Nathan.

Don't wire a tree that is not in a good condition. I wouldn't actually know either what you'd want to wire? Thjs tree really needs to get stronger and grow before you can think of making a beautiful bonsai out of it.
Also, elms belong outdoors.

This plant as Auk says must be outside, that is the first thing, secondly, there is nothing to wire, no new shoots or branches that could be bent. having said that I never wire my Chinese Elms, they can be grown and styled by pruning. This plant will need a lot of care to survive let alone thrive. Learn how to water and keep the plant in good health before anything else. Do not think of re potting or fertiliser until it is back to health.

Thank you for your replies, I am trying to learn how to take care of the tree properly however am finding mixed information from my searches through google etc.
Right then...the tree will now live outdoors from now.
I have been using Fertiliser on it once a week, I thought that was what was making it re grow.
I usually water every other day... I am assuming I am over watering!
Unfortunately I have re potted the tree as there were many bugs in the akadama.

Pictured is the Fertiliser I have been using.

be carefull with the fertilizer. Your plant is not growwing so aggressively that it needs a lot.
