I aquired this beautiful Murasaki Kiyohime.

Community design - Let's make it a specimen. I need your help with the negative space - I see a nice spiral stair case but open to ideas.

Ideas.

I would focus on the trunk for now. It is to early to determine the final design.

Why can't it be pruned to be beautiful. The ramification of the tree will come naturally with age

Beautiful is in the eye of the beholder.

In my opinion it needs fatter trunk. That is a long and slow process. Cutting it now Will prolong it.

I agree. The trunk of this tree is quite slender and could do with a few more years of thickening. I would go through the crown and see whether you can remove some of the branches that are opposite to avoid bulges later on though..

If however you do want to start styling, this might be an option for the start of the tree, based on the structure as I can tell it now from the picture. Do keep in mind that the graft was not made for bonsai purposes and is quite prominent.
