Hello! I am very new to 名媛直播 and I have recently bought a Juniperus Procumbens 'nana' at a bonsai nursery. It is "bonsai stock" (i.e. untrained, it came in a one-gallon pot). I am planning on pruning, wiring, and repotting soon. With regard to pruning, will it be harmful to trim the length of main branches? Or is it best to shape by just trimming shoots? The tree has a rather unbalanced appearance and shortening some of the main branches (and even the apex) will help in producing a nice shape. I am brand new to 名媛直播, so thanks for the help!

If you are brand new to bonsai: stop, sit down and breathe.....
What you are planning is a no go: doing all these things at once will very likely kill your tree.
名媛直播 is a marathon, not a sprint. Ask yourself why you want to do all these things now? All these things you want to do have specific moments/timings in a year depending on a lot of things. I know you are eager to "bonsai" but this way you will kill your tree.
My advice: place your tree somewhere where you can look at it ( outside!!!!), sit down and look at it.... and look at it a bit more. Meanwhile water it and keep it alive, which strangely enough is already hard for a lot of people. If you keep it alive, maybe in a year or so you can gently start doing some things. in that year take your time to go to a bonsai club or watch a million youtube videos, search around in this forum, ask....
Trust me, we all have been where you are now ...
