How soon to prune

It really is a nice tree, junipers sort of like it on the dry side, but don't overdo dry. It's close to the wrong time of the year to do any major pruning. Patients.

THe plant lokos happy enough, and .. well. Read the previous advice.
I would consider a haircut through. It seems to be very dense which will mean that smaller branches and older needles will lack light. I woul dconsider thinning by maybe 1/4 Going through and removing individual branchlets from the crown so it opens up and lets light and air through.
