I bought this schefflera bonsai a few months ago from a greenhouse. It's doing fine. Growing well.
Except whoever had the bonsai in their possession first - the greenhouse or the supplier - was a twit in the pruning & loped off three branches in close vicinity to one another & the top of the larger trunk to boot. So one side of the tree looks well barren compared to the other far fuller side.
I don't want to prune the full side just yet as I want it to keep growing & defoliate next year (smaller leaves) to disguise the missing trunk. There's some regrowth to the barren side. Is there anything that can be added to encourage more or just patience?
I've had other bonsais before never schefflera so...

Welcome to the Empire.
Not a fan of schefflera and not in a climate where you can grow these as bonsai so I cannot help you.
