Any thoughts on pruning?

First off, I just want to say a big thanks to 'Albas' for helping to identify my Vietnamese Bluebell 名媛直播 (in the 'Help' section of this forum).
So having this 名媛直播 for just under a week, I am at phase two; just got rid of all the weeds and removed the wiring and was pretty shocked on the scars on the branches from the wires. Obviously this tree has been poorly looked after by the previous owner. ..
My next steps are to:
1. Trim the 名媛直播 a bit to make it look nicer and cleaner, I would love to get some thoughts of what to chop.
2. Add some moss and stir in some compost soil
3. Find out if there are some ointments that can help to heal the scars that have been made from the wiring.
Can you guys and girls help with some advise on the points above?

The general advice for eager beginners is: Dont do any major prunning until one full growing season has past. As you are in a tropical country I assume you will need to cut back new growth at some point. As I havent grown trees in your climate I cannot tell when the best time to do that is.

From what I can tell so far of only having this tree for a few days is that the leaves and flowers are developing very quickly (it is summer right now).
-I am watering twice a day; major in the morning, light in the late afternoon.
-I am also spraying the whole tree with misty water in the morning.
I was wondering should I trim off the new growth that is developing on the main trunks? Or leave it during summer as those little new branches will start to develop flowers within a fortnight.

I would remove those sucker buds from root and trunk, but that's it, your tree is beautiful, is not requiring anything at this moment but the usual care... The wire scars will eventually go away (I don't know how fast for this species), if you let it grow unpruned, scars will disappear faster...
Enjoy the tree, watch it grow and take your time.

That is already beautiful. Just take care of it like how you would with others.
