I would do branch selection now. Wait for the shosen branches to thicken a wile longer. Then cut back to just 2-3 buds. The only exception beeing the first branch. As of today there is no obvious first branch. The lower ones needs to thicken considerably before shosing which one to use and shorten it.

I cannot say how fast this tree grows under your conditions and care. I would let it grow until I am happy with first section thickness before pruning.
balance in a bonsai is created by (amongst others) difference in thickness on branches, the thickest beeing the first and the above ones gradually thinner. But also the distance between them. The longest distance between first and second and then gradually lower distance.
One do not prune for the most beatiful tree today, but for the most beautiful tree in the future.

Looking at the picture again, I found another option. Carving for a nice trunk line could give you a potential first branch. In this option the final design is about 3 times as high as? the stump is today. You will have a start of the trunk line and a first branch. The first branch and the leader needs to be thicken to approximately 50% of the trunk.
