I sometimes have dreams about the hawthorn hedges around my school. I can see their thick, gnarled trunks and imagine myself walking home with trees in my arms.
It's all in vain, though. I'll never get permission to dig them up.

I walked in the woods today evaluating all plant life....leaves are too big, will never have a thick trunk , that's poison ivy-leave it alone.
Question - I decided to put my jades outside to see how they do in direct sunlight. There will get about 8 hrs a day. Is this too much? Inside they were under a grow light for about 12 hrs a day. I can bring them in at night for more light but worried the back and forth would not be good for them.

transition from dark places to sunlight can lead to sunburn. You would be better off giving first a few hours in the morning / evening sun. Do not however, move them around a lot. Plants turn their leaves towards the light, Especiall succulents will drop their leaves if moved around too much.

Thanks. The jade is on my deck and staying there until the cold weather comes. So far it seems to be tolerating it well.
