J. Juniper how do I know the shape? was created by 笔别辫é

I have enclosed a short video of my juniper. My question is what am I looking for as in form? How do I know which branch to wire? Which shape it should grow? I want it natural looking and not like a topiary. Do I trim the top to train her to have a flat top? Will the neddles brown at the cutting? Or should I just leave her? She came from Walmart as a present in May, so it was a bit dry. But she pulled back from the brink of death, new growth is appearing and new shoots are there. Thank you

No you haven't.

If it is Wallmart: put it in the ground for the next 5 years and start studying bonsai.

Make that 10 years if it's the 9,99 one.

Now I'm sure. I'm going to sell my Juniper. I'm asking USD 17,214,00 for it. And fourteen cents.

Once again I was fooled into thinking that I would see pictures of some cool tree or at least something to comment on, nd all I got was a nice chuckle.

It wasn't on the page, and I didn't check it, but under the 'more information' you can see this plant is artificial.
If I'm right, a bonsai is supposed to be a living tree :pinch:

One of the book suggestions at the bottom of the page is: how to care for INDOOR bonsai. :-D for the green mound juniper. No wonder people who buy these things end up killing them... or probably more acurately are buying near dead plants.

To be fair, the how to care for video isn't that bad...
