This is my 2nd styling attempt. This is a nursery stock boxwood. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated. Thanks.

You only posted 1 picture so it is hard to tell, but it seems predominantly 2 dimensional. That is, only a small amount of branches coming towards us or back towards the backdrop you've used. A tree grown in the wild would fill as much of the 3 dimensional space as possible (unless there was something physically preventing this, which could be an intention of your design). Pictures taken from other angles or looking down from above the tree would be useful in generating critiques.
Other than that I would say that it seems a little too tall for the trunk girth and height of the 1st branch.

That is one thing I was wondering about the height of the tree in relationship to the girth and height of trunk. I believe you are correct...I will try to get some more pictures of it up.

This is the sort of height it should be for this size trunk:
Why is it in a bonsai pot?

The these grow thicker slowly. Go for the small tree suggestion. The next years, look for 40+ year old plants in gardens that you can collect. It is the faster route to big trunks. I have one from a groeing field, 40 years old. 7cm thick trunk. That is how slow they grow.
