Do i leave this black pine to grow out or do i decandle and prune ? Recently purchased this tree online and its obvious the tree has been left to do its own thing, do i let this continue or should i start pinching the candles The needles are really long for the size of tree and the nodes are too . Any advice on pine care in general would much appreciated.

Yes, I think I would do that. Make sure you know how and when to decandle before doing it. There are some good pages about this subject.
