Hi Everyone
I'm new here and this is my first post. I was reading the article on carving a root stand and came across mention of a 3d drill. Please could someone explain to me what this is and where to get one. I've tried searching online but cannot find it
Cheers
Peter

Welcome, peter!
Sorry I can't help you.
Is a 3D drill different from a grinder?

Morning mate, not sure at all. The article just mentioned a 3d drill, I suspected that maybe it was a die grinder but wasn't sure

I looked up the article and read it (I definately need to find a good piece of wood and try this myself now) and indeed it mentions 3d drill. I've never heard of that myself, As the article was written by a Dutch guy, and just like Peter I could not find anything Googling "3d drill", I looked up "3d boor" and found:
That makes sense. It looks a bit like a milling bit - or a combination of a milling bit and a drill bit; it drills in all directions.
Now I need to get one of those too,,, better than trying to use a grinder

It can be found in English as "3D bit"
I found this add on UK ebay:
(not affiliated, just good Google-Fu)
