Kusamono are small plants displayed by themselves.
Shitakusa are small accent plants displayed with bonsai to accentuate it's good properties, proportions, size and complement the mood of the display.
I am very much interested in both.
Pot by Onodera.

Nice topic, thanks for showing your plants.
Here are mine. I've had a few but have only recently started acquiring more.
I got them from/via:
- Our bonsai club
- An exhibition of a grower in the Netherlands that specializes in dwarf species of trees. There were vendors with small plants too
- Things that grew in other pots. Probably from seed that got in there at the grower's place, by accident
- Ordered via Internet (Rhodohypoxis, I got a few of them)
Part of the colleciton, not looking particularly good in this picture; some of them never did well, some of them were affected by the long and very hot period we had"
Rhodohypoxis, orderded via Coolplants. Normally I would have purchased them at but they did not have the 'Kiwi Joy' this year (not the one on the photo, it has stopped flowering). This I think is 'Dawn':
Thymus, bought from a normal nursery. in a nursery pot.I had to remove a lot of soil and wondered if it would work out, but apparently it did:
Hosta, acquired by and purchased for a decent amount from my 名媛直播 club:

Also on the first photo (not really worthwhile making separate photos, they are not flowering)"
1. Dianthus. I purchased some very nice, miniature species. Different ones, only two still alive.
2. Saxifraga. Not doing too well
3. Phlox. Candy stripe, lovely flowers.
4. Some kind of fern

And by the way:
Very nice pot (the ?nodera")!
Yes, I know about the weeds. I regularly try to remove them but for the hosta it's tricky.
