Hi Yall,
I am calling on your expertise once again. Ive got a golden gate bonsai which looks well. All (repeat - all) of the little rocks in the soil mix have found their way to the top of the soil, and all the soil is beneath the rocks. Additionally, some of the bigger roots are now visible and some of the smaller, tiny roots are starting to make their way out of the soil and stick out of the top. Is this ok, or do I need to address it?
Thank you for any help!

Here is a photo. Ive brushed some of the rocks aside to expose a big root. A small one, coming out of the rocks, should be visible at the bottom right.

Well, how is the composition of you substrate, what's the organic percentage?
First guess would be a root bound pot, and repotting might help.

I agree, but some visible roots is good and it's called a nibari, (my spelling is probably off) but it adds caricter and makes the tree look as if it's gripping the soil to stay attached. You don't necessarily want crossing roots.
