Can I keep two elm trees potted together? was created by Nathan098

I got these two Chinese Elm Trees together about six months ago and I know that it is about time to repot them. What size pot would i need to keep them together like this? I cannot find any repotting guides for two trees like this. Should i just separate them? Any help would be appreciated.
Also would it be possible to train one tree cascade style and keep the other tree upright in the same pot? Or too crazy?

I think before deciding on pots, you would have to decide which direction you want to go with this. For me, I would want the trunks to be a lot thicker and I would give them a large flat tray to grow out in, or even plant them in the garden. But maybe you are happy with the trunks, and want to think about a cutback t start building your shohin sized tree.
A cascade and an upright iin the same pot do not make sense. How would one tree be forced to cascade while the other is not in a normal environment?
