Hi guys
First can you please confirm that it is an oak
Second, I have the opportunity to take this oak tree from a friend of a friend of a friend garden, can you please help with some tips so that the tree will survive

It is not an oak and it is most certainly not a yamadori

It culd be an ilex spp. Or a oak looking like and ilex (Quercus ilex). It is in your friends garden. Is this a tree native to where you live? Or has he bought it?
