I received a lovely Bahama Berry as a Valentine’s Day gift, which came in its original plastic container. I have a new pot ready to go for it, with 名媛直播 soil prepped. I have read warning however to only repot in earl summer with the Bahama Berry.
Is it ok to do its first potting now? Or need I wait?

Why would you put a young seedling into a bonsai pot?

You can safely repot it with fast draining soil plus organics by the beginning of Spring, if your local weather is warm

Is it early summer where you live?
Here it is late winter and all my tropicals are desperately waiting for spring weather and being.moved outside. I avoid repotting tropicals during the dark cold winter.

Posted 6 years 2 months ago #47412Jan 6, leaves were popping out on three or four trees. Sounds like spring was beginning. Friday and Saturday, highs 60-70 F/ 15-20C, and almost all of them have leaves well established. Sounds like late spring, and it's two months later, so that fits. Tonight the low is 2 below freezing. Tuesday it will be 23F/-5C. Sounds like winter again.leatherback wrote:

For those who have no experience, a wet clay pot full of soaking wet soil at 40F/5C is very cold on the hands. Two dozen are worse. I have now carried them all inside the unheated garage, waiting for Thursday, which will be like three days ago, and they get to come out again.
When summer comes, it will set in with a vengeance, but in the meantime, at least two more springs. Maybe three.
