Sounds like a plan, ill focus on it having good airflow so that bark in the nooks and crannies does not stay wet.
Anything else i can do to protect some of the tight spots that can be done without removing the bark first? I went in with a tiny firm paint brush and got out all the loose material, so im sure that will help.
