Pot/form suggestions was created by frdagaa

I have a juniper bonsai that blew over and broke its pot so I had to do a quick, not-totally-considered quick re-pot. Tried to use a pot somewhat similar to the previous one, but it certainly isn't ideal. I think the tree needs to turn slightly in the pot, and I need a different color - I know unglazed is typical for conifers, but I might go for a glazed red-brown.I'm looking for input on pot size and shape mostly (and along with that, re-shaping tree form some might also ensue).Part of the issue is that the trunk has nice girth, but it's the mound leading to the trunk that is really wide. If I choose a pot thickness equal to the trunk (2") which is the standard suggestion, isn't it going to be too thin? The current pot is supposedly 3.5 in. Also, there is a semi-cascading element to the tree, though mostly it is an s-curve form. Should I use a deep pot and re-shape as a semi-cascading form?I assume that since I re-potted just today, I'm ok to re-pot again as long as it's done soon.

The shape of the pot looks propper to me, I just wouldn't go for a glazzed one, if so, I would choose black one, but that's up to taste... If you just repot it, I would let it be there...
Also, that's a beautiful tree you have, I wouldn't make any drastic intervention on it's design.

Here are some pictures of similar ones, you can see the pots are similar.

I would surely use an unglazed pot, rectangular with no lips, slab style.
But that's me, of course.

Something like the one below:

Yeah, something like Clicio suggests. Maybe not that dark? If with lips, should be simple and plain ;)
No glazing.
