I have Sweet Plum bonsai recently purchased. I would like to let it grow bigger. Its current pot 16 x10 x 6 sm. ?If I repot it to size 25 x 10/12 x 9 sm will it grow and thicken faster?

The short answer is no it will not grow and thicken faster. This plant has been grown and then pruned to the size it is and it will be difficult to change that. Why do you want it to be bigger? If you must try then i a bigger pot allow the main top shoot to grow unchecked, if you can find one that is and do not prune for as long as it takes, it may not help to thicken the trunk, but that is the chance you take. Otherwise keep it as it is and get a plant that has an apex growth that can be allowed to grow unchecked.

All trees grows bigger by time. All trees grow faster in bigger pots.
