Hello experts --
A couple of weeks ago I repotted my Brazilian Rain Tree for the first time (also my first repotting ever). I followed many videos and took the care I could, but the root ball after cleaning up was much less robust than I hoped and I fear the tree is suffering. It has not been able to open its leaves since that date, and I've been misting them to try and aid it without overwatering the limited roots. What else can I do? I'd really love guidance on anything that could save my tree.
Thank you!

Put the tree outside in the sun, water it by pouring on the soil until water pours out of the drain holes in the pot, and don't mist. Misting is for the very get plants that get humidity from the air.

I always keep newly repotted trees outside in the shade of my big oak. I guess it is called dappled light? Full sun makes the tree need more water. And it is not always the case that the newly repotted tree have the roots to keep up with the needs of the foliage. In the shade it gets enough sun to grow new roots. It takes a month to a full growing season to recover depending on species. When it starts to push new leggy growt it is time to move gradually to more sun and more compact growth.
