Can any one tell me what is the best type of soil to grow one Salix Babylon Willow pre bonsai in UK?

I have some in the grownd and no particular experience with them.
I know they like water and reasoning tells me more water retentive mix is in order. Another things is they have fast growing roots so some time twice a year repot is required.
Also famous for their die back of branches.

You need a soil that holds moisture. There are very few people i know that grow Willows, but have a look at bonsai4me.com for species guides. It is an English site. I know one person who grows them stands it in water, as they do like it. I would think JI3 would be ok.
