My father is starting to repot our black pines already, it is the beginning of June.
I keep seeing that it is best to repot when the buds start to show, usually in the beginning of Spring
What will happen to our bonsai if we continue to repot right now? Will new buds not grow? Most the trees are already well matured and established
Any advise would be much appreciate!!

Sorry about that, I meant January not June !
What do you think, will it be alright for the tree?

How experienced is your father?
How long has he had bonsai, how often has he repotted?
What's the level of the trees - are we talking about seedlings, or bonsai masterpieces?
How long has he had them?
is he re-potting, or potting them over into larger pots?
Will there be any root work?
Where are the trees - indoors, outdoors, a greenhouse?
Do you have any photos?

We have many different 名媛直播, most of them are fairly large fully grown, fully established, not going to grow much more
We havent repotted/root pruned them for a few years so it definitely needs to be done
We are keeping them in the same pot, and they are kept outdoors. We are in Los Angeles, so temperature never gets close to freezing
We've had the bonsia for many years now

If you have a climate where the roots will always be above 10C, that is not so much of a worry.
in general there are times that more or less energy is stored in the roots; By root-pruning in spring, you use the moment that the plant has depleted the root stores, and has plenty of time to rebuild those before winter. Again, in California that may be less of a worry.
I am however, a certified pine killer.

"Pine killer" Made me laugh, I thank you !leatherback wrote: I would say the main risks with repotting are in roots not being able to regrow fast enough due top cold, and as such roots infected, rotting, plant dieing.

Then, if you've done it before, why not follow the procedure that has worked so far?
But, what's the reason to do it now? Why can't it wait? In general, now is not the best time to repot.
