OK I'll just be patient for now and leave most of the work for next year , for now I'll just do the tiniest amount of thinning out .
Thanks ;)

Hi there ,
I was hoping someone could give me some advice,
This is going to be my first time wiring but I have books and have read a lot about it the last year or so , so I've got the theory down but it will soon come to the practice .
This is the front of the juniper I'm going to wire:

As you can see most of the foliage is at the back , is there any advice you can give me on the best way to move all of this foliage to the front?

Ps: the tree is recovering from a emergency transplant that I did earlier this year so I'm going to wait at least until next spring , is it best to wire it in spring or should I wait longer ?

Could you please upload the pictures to the forum and/or embed them in the post? This is a bit cumbersome to go to a different website every time.
Start by trimming the foliage back, using the "two's" rule of thum: At every point of branching, leave 2. This will allow more sun to reach the inside. Whether you can do this now.. Depends on the health of the plant You will know best whether it is strong or not.

Sorry I've tried posting the photo here but even with my camera settings at its lowest the image is to big , and I don't have a pc to resize them , how do I embed them in the post ?
The tree looks healthy just now but I'd rather stay on the safe side and wait till next year. Is it safe to do the pruning down to "twos" and wire at the same time ?

That does not look like any Juniper that I have had. Looks more like my Yew.

I have finally found the required knowledge and the required courage to start some work on this tree , I have only done a little so far as I ran out of time and wire  I will now post some pictures of the progress.
