Hello everyone, I had to give all my bonsais away due to moving house. My friend returned a Ficus Microcarpa Compacta as it was rapidly dying back. The question is: It is well overdue for a transplant, but as it is just beginning to grow new leaves and the top half is dead how long should I wait as it is already mid August. I doubt very much that it can wait until next April. I live in Southern Spain so I could wait for October? I will wait to saw off the top half. Grateful for any advice......regards Helen.
