Cat Litter as bonsai soil

Hello all,
Unfortunately, here in Brazil we have no Akadama or Kanuma.
But...
We DO have something that the seller calls "Brazilian Akadama":
AND...
Following this link (that uses cat litter as bonsai soil,)
I also have found an Argentinian lava soil from Patagonia that is sold in Brazil as cat litter. People say wonders about it... Testing it on some cuttings:

So, how many people here use cat litter as bonsai soil? I am curious!

Here in America, its tough to find cat litter without perfumes and chemicals. However, turface, which is a hard fired clay that doesn't break down, is easy to get and similar to cat litter.

I like using Pumice. It is cheap and works quite well.
