I've bought a Chinese elm last week and not sure about care as there's a lot of info what seems to contradict wash other. I read you should only keep them outside in the summer but then something else said leaving them out in the winter is fine, I live in the south of England uk so winter's are not as bad as some places.
When it comes to feeding I've read only feed in growing season March to October but also read if it's indoor then feed all year round not sure what is best. I placed it on a widow ledge in the kitchen so gets plenty of light and is the coolest room in the house, it seem to be doing well there as there seem to be new shoots growing but as I said only had it a week and new to the bonsai world. Any help would be great.

The advise on this forum never contradicts about where to keep these trees - and you already got the advice that's always given here, so I'm not sure why you started a new topic?

No contradictions at all.
Keep them outdoors.

I picked these up when I got it and this is why I'm asking on here with people who have tried and tested stuff.

Well, why don't you accept what people here write then?
Looking up some pictures it seems mr. Kanellos knows about houseplants and orchids, I can't tell how much he really knows about bonsai.
The page from that book doesn't tell me much either, but it does state that hardy trees belong outdoors.
