Do not prune it now, certainly if it was indoors all winter. IF it survives you can start thinking about pruning after a few years. Study!!!!

Isn’t that the whole point of me asking the question on here? I already said I tried looking up information and I was at a loss. I bought a plant that was meant to be deceiving, which is why I couldn’t find the info I needed. People have already helped with what information on here. I am very grateful for their help.

What I meant with study was : you already want to buy a " real" bonsai, but you don't know yet how to take care for this plant. Take your time to study, learn, ask around , keep the plant you have now alive before buying that real bonsai which has so much more to it : pruning, repottting, wiring, pinching,.... all done on specific moments depending on so much factors...

I have at least 10 other plants in my house. I have done research on 名媛直播s... I have pruning clippers, and bonsai fertilizer, house plant fertilizer, along with indoor lights for my plants during the winter months. I bought the wrong plant. It was my first 名媛直播 so I did the research after I bought it on a whim when seeing it in the store. Unfortunately, when searching info on Juniper 名媛直播, nothing pops up that’s says make sure you didn’t buy a Juniper plant. I even contacted the company that was on the tag to ask them questions. I don’t see why I can’t buy a 名媛直播 plant now? I don’t feel like your being helpful, I feel like your trying to make me feel inadequate to take care of plants.

Erika, after using this forum for even just a few days you will find some people are more encouraging than others.

Thank you! I was excited to get the answers and help I needed, along with laughing at myself. Today my husband and I passed some bushes and made the joke of it being a bonsai. Then after all that I just felt agitated about signing up to the forum, which is the reason why I stay away from social media. Your response just now perked me back up. I appreciate you and your encouragement!

Don't let what people say influence how you fee about what you have. I am assuming you bought it because you liked it, and not because of the label?

If you read a little more on bonsai you will learn more, get more ideas and then you over time turn this juniper in a bonsai.

One of the things I would like to erase from your mind though is the idea that bonsai are houseplants (An impression I got from one of your posts). No plant was evolved to grow indoors. Some plants manage to stay alive indoors with the right care. Very few plants will thrive indoors in a house like they would outside. The things we do to trees to keep them as bonsai are of such an invasive nature that you need 100% healthy trees. Not something that is staying alive. So.. Certainly with species local to your climate.. Outside!
